Blakenhall is very proud of its conversion of old disused buildings into new offices and decided to celebrate its success by treating itself to a new Estate Office. For those of you that already know us, we converted the old storage shed adjacent to our previous estate office (renamed The Granary) and we moved into our brand new offices in October 2010. Our move went very well and has been much appreciated by visitors to the site as we are more visible, being directly at the top of the drive.

There has not been many changes over the last twelve months, which for the site is a good thing!  All the buisnesses that ‘reside’ here are doing well despite the general ecomonic state.  Unfortunately we can’t quite attribute Blakenhall Park to their continued success but it would be nice to think that its the successful people & their companies that are most attracted to being here.  We certainly know that visitors to Blakenhall always like to return, which must reflect in good relationships with all our working colleagues and customers.

Due to popular demand we have further extended our secure storage here on-site at Blakenhall. These are 20ft containers that are wind & water proof with high security padlocks. They are ideal for document storage so are offered to tenants at excellent rates on short or long term hire.

Fuelcare, leading European distributor of the biocides used to prevent fungus and bacteria forming in fuel, has relocated from London to the peace and tranquility of idyllic Blakenhall Park, just outside Barton Under Needwood.

Fuelcare had been trading successfully in the capital for 20 years before deciding to move to pastures new in deepest rural Staffordshire. 

Director, Oliver Rumford Warr explained the reasons behind the decision.  “We wanted somewhere that gave us room to expand, that provided a better quality of life, and where it would be a pleasure to go work,” he said.  “So, we moved house and looked for somewhere in the vicinity for the business.  We viewed units and offices in various places, but they were all in towns and seemed cold and depressing. 

“Then we heard about Blakenhall Park, which not only offered stunning offices in converted farm buildings, but could also accommodate our need for storage space.  There was simply no comparison in terms of quality, value for money and convenience and of course, traffic jams on the way to the office are a thing of the past!  . 

“A big advantage for us was the on-site storage facilities, which will help us improve our service to our customers.”

Fuel biocides are used in any industry which relies on the use of fuel such as the oil & gas industry, shipping, aviation, haulage, rail, emergency power systems, agriculture and home heating applications. They are used either as a preventative measure or to treat contamination.  Today, most aircraft will have a small element of biocide in its fuel every time they take to the skies.

Al Global Media, which publishes corporate finance magazine ‘Acquisition International’, joined us in November 2010.

The magazine, which has an international circulation of almost 40,000 readers in the corporate finance community, covers mergers and acquisition transactions alongside industry expertise and sector analysis.  It keeps readers informed via the Deal Diary and entertained with regular monthly features: The Deal Guru, Lead Mandate and PEP Talk.

On the company’s decision to establish itself in the countryside, Director Jane Peter said there was no contest between Blakenhall and the other offices available in nearby towns and cities.
